Justina – OP hired staff for new Supported Self Employment Program to help PWD to start their own business
Doris – Wacosa –made offer for new Exec. Director. Should start in July.
Felicia – got “official” word, she can stay involved in JPD

Felicia – Suggestions on how to better match RS referrals for PBA vendors
- Have client interview placement specialist prior to PBA agreement
- Have counselors set communication expectations up front
- Have counselors try new vendors

Fall MRA Conference will be October 8-10 in Mankato – JPD will do pre-conf.
MASPRR is interested in a topic of online placement training. Training committee will
explore this.

Doris is hoping to have MRA fall conference speakers by July. All are welcome to help with conference planning. Next meeting is Tuesday June 10 at 1:30 at Courage Center

Good registration of training tomorrow approximately $1,335.00 in revenue
Rebecca Lund has agreed to go to TCF again to get money from Fall 2007 pre-conf.

Ross – had good training at Spring Conference
Angela – suggested partnering with MARP
Sara suggested we should come up with Rehab questions for legislators who will seek re-election this fall – then our legislators can hear the same question from many people across the state. Ross and Nick can work on this list and get it out to people.

Doris reported St. Cloud is hit by economy – employers are down sizing
New Walmart and Sam’s Club have been put on hold
Still hiring in retail and restaurant
Metro – Ryan Hoffman
- Home Depot in Cottage Grove closing
- Many home improvement stores are cutting hours
- Medtronic lay off due to specific division-they have some growing units so some
employees may transfer
- Macy’s closing – restructure may create jobs in long term
- MN Physicians lay offs
- Transportation Security Administration is seeking female employees
- Hopkins, Richfield, Bloomington are hiring para’s
Southeast - Theresa Duncan – stepped down for rep. position in Southeast
