Great Plains Meeting
Present: Sara Sundeen, Sue Strack-Smith, Doris Illies, Christine Paul, Amy Veches, Shawn Zimmerman, Ellen Sokolowski, Roger Carter, James Green
Sara gave update from NRA board meeting. Patricia Leahy is now the interim Executive Director of NRA; Linda Winslow was thanked for her time and passion. The executive board of NRA will start a nationwide search.
The Great Plains has 532 members as of January 2008. Our treasury has $687.98 as of December 2007.
We discussed the goals for 2007 and how we did. We also created goals for 2008.
Goals for 2008:
Increase membership by 10%
Have a Great Plains Raffle basket at two of the Great Plains state chapter conferences
Have exposure at the NRA Annual Conference since is it held in a Great Plains state
Have all active chapters financially support the Great Plains Representative ($1.00 a member)

· MN Spring conference is April 16-18 in Grand Rapids, MN – go to www.mnrehab.org for details
· MN Fall conference is Oct 8-10 in Mankato, MN
· CO is working on increasing membership and activity
· IA Fall conference is Oct 8-10 – extending invitation to all members of the Great Plains
We will meet again in St. Louis, MO during the annual conference.
